Casting news about the next installment of the "Transformers" franchise is starting to seep out bit by bit. The Michael Bay directed sequel to last summer's monster-hit is set to start filming this summer.EW.com
ran an article discussing the possibility of Jonah Hill ("Super Bad") as being cast as Shia LaBeouf's roommate at college. Apparently the young star is still in early negotiations, but honestly, if you were him would you push too hard? I mean if they told me I had to bring my own lunch I'd say 'cool!' (Film sets, especially big budget ones for Hollywood blockbusters are notorious for have killer craft service trucks- aka Catering-to-die-for!)Slashfilm
also seems to have gotten a hold of the 'Sides' (a character breakdown used in casting) which describes the character Chuck as: 19-25 yrs., Sam’s roommate at Princeton. He runs a conspiracy theory website. Funny in an irreverent, edgy way, he is shocked to see his conspiracy theories come to life. (2nd Lead).
In other casting news, various sources (including Moviehole
which broke the news) are citing that the oh so lovely Teresa Palmer has been added to the lineup. (Check out the article here at Cinematical.
) The young Australian star had been cast in the "Justice League" to play Talia al Guhl. But as that project has been delayed indefinitely, Teresa is now free to move on to work with Bay "Transformers 2." You probably remember her from "Grudge 2" and "December Boys." You can catch her next starring alongside Adam Sandler in "Bedtime Stories" which is due out in theaters this Christmas.
